The BioShock Series is Here via Xbox One Backward Compatibility!

For those who already own a copy of the original BioShock games for the Xbox 360, welcome back to Rapture (and Columbia)! We’re pleased to announce that the original games are now playable on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility. To relive the experience with the game you already own, would you kindly check the “Ready to Install” section of your Xbox One if you own it digitally or pop the physical disc into your Xbox One?

Jump back into the Bathysphere and head to the ocean depths. Fight off splicers and Big Daddies just like you did almost a decade ago in Rapture. Or, you can catch the next flight to Columbia as Booker DeWitt and rejoin Elizabeth. Never got around to unlocking all the achievements in the old BioShock games? Now you can complete the mission.

If you haven’t already picked up the recent remaster, BioShock: The Collection contains all three BioShock games and all single player content for one price – in fact, it’s a circus of values! But if you just want to relive the original experience you already own, that’s fine. You can do that right now. Thanks to Xbox One’s Backward Compatibility program, you can jump back into the original games and play like it’s 2007 all over again.

Just remember: A man chooses, a slave obeys.

Finally, today also marks another milestone for the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program – there are now over 300 Xbox 360 games playable on Xbox One! We’ve come a long way from the original 104 available titles, and we will continue to work with our publishing partners to grow our library and update you each week when new releases are available.
