Coming off the most watched Halo esports broadcast ever in the Halo World Championship 2017 Finals, the Halo Championship Series and Halo 5: Guardians continue to reach landmark achievements well into the year. Last weekend, DreamHack Atlanta played home to the Summer 2017 Finals of the Halo Championship Series and saw a record-setting number of participants for the league.

With 93 total teams and almost 300 Free-for-All players in attendance, DreamHack Atlanta was not only the biggest open event for Halo 5: Guardians, but the biggest since the Halo Championship Series first kicked off nearly three years ago. Featuring a mix of up-and-coming amateur talent and battle-hardened pros, the HCS had never seen a deeper competitive field. When the final flag was captured, 93 total teams were whittled down to just one champion, Splyce!

343 Industries also recently announced a series of monthly grassroots Halo 5: Guardians tournaments in Microsoft Stores around North America, including locations in Puerto Rico and Australia. In less than four days, more than 1,100 players have registered to play in the first tournament across more than 50 participating Microsoft Stores. The series of tournaments welcomes players of all skill levels, and encourages players to meet one another and form teams for the 2v2 and 4v4 tournaments that follow. More players continue to register each day to take part in growing their local grassroots community with Microsoft Store as the home for fun and competitive Halo 5: Guardians action.

Tickets and registration for the highly anticipated HCS London tournament became available yesterday, as the Halo Championship Series seeks to set new records for European participation as well. Occurring from Sept. 15-17, HCS London is an open tournament and the top three teams will be flown to DreamHack Denver to compete in the HCS Fall Season Finals in October. Head to Halo.gg/HCSLondon to learn more about how to register or attend the event.

With a great Summer 2017 finals behind us and Halo 5: Guardians tournaments ahead at Microsoft Stores, HCS London and DreamHack Denver, it’s a great time to be a fan of Halo esports. Thank you to the Halo community for your support and you can stay up-to-date with all the latest esports news at Halo.gg and the HCS Twitter.
