Hand of the Gods: Smite Tactics Coming to Xbox One

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Xbox Wire.

I’ve got some great news for fans of Smite and even better news for those who love drawing cards, casting spells, and hardcore tactical gameplay on their Xbox One.

I’m thrilled to announce that Hand of the Gods: Smite Tactics, a divine blend of the action of collectible card games and the tactics of turn-based strategy games, is coming soon to Xbox One. You can sign up to join the closed alpha test for Hand of the Gods by clicking here.

Set in Smite’s rich world of ancient mythology, Hand of the Gods lets you build a deck tied to one of six mythological pantheons chock full of almighty Gods, powerful spells, and savage beasts. Each pantheon is led by a unique leader, ranging from the battle-tested Odin, Norse All-Father, to the terrifying Ah Puch, Mayan God of Horrific Decay.

The magic really starts when you drag a card onto the battlefield and watch as the Gods come to life in rich 3D. Your units will fight on a chess-style game board, making tactical brilliance just as important as what cards you draw, as you outmaneuver and dominate your foes.

And for all the Smite fans out there, the Gods you know and love look better than ever before. Thanks to Unreal Engine 4, we’ve rendered the Gods with improved fidelity, effects, and animations making this the most visually impressive card game ever.

We’ll start the closed alpha very soon, so sign up to play for free today to be one of the first to check out Hand of the Gods for yourself. See you soon on the battleground of the Gods!
