Microsoft launches Create Change campaign with NFL stars and their charitable causes

At Microsoft, we’re inspired when we see individuals and groups step up to drive positive change in their communities and to empower people around them to achieve more. In this spirit, we’re proud to be collaborating with five extraordinary NFL players to support the philanthropic work they do off the field: Von Miller, Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Greg Olsen, and Martellus Bennett.

The charitable foundations created or supported by each player focus on areas that align with some of Microsoft’s own core missions and values, including education, accessibility, creativity, and health. By partnering with these foundations in providing both resources and awareness, we hope to increase their impact on the lives of those in need. Each NFL player has used Microsoft Surface technology on the field, and each sees technology as a way to improve their foundation’s work and create even greater change in communities that need it most.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be rolling out the Create Change video series featuring each player discussing the inspiration for his cause and how Surface helps them impact more lives in a variety of ways. The first video in the series highlights Von Miller and his Von’s Vision Foundation, whose mission is to provide low-income Denver children with the eye care and corrective eyewear they need to be their best in the classroom and in life.

Fans can also get involved in the Create Change movement by sharing their own personal stories about creating a positive impact in local communities, using #CreateChangeContest on social media. Each of the five NFL players will select his favorite fan entrant and those five winners will receive a trip for two to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.

In support of the work these charitable causes are doing, Microsoft will be making a donation to each of the five non-profit organizations involved.
