Announcing More Details on Xbox FanFest: E3 2018

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Xbox Wire.

Today, on the second episode of Inside Xbox, we revealed brand-new details on Xbox FanFest at E3 2018. When we started doing FanFest a little over 4 years ago, we not only wanted to create global rally venues for Xbox fans; we also wanted gamers everywhere to know how deeply important they are to our past, present and future. This year, we’re looking to do even more.

Xbox has two fantastic offers at this year’s E3. First, you can win a chance to be one of the 400 lucky people to experience Xbox FanFest from June 10 through June 11, or win one of 1,000 brand-new Xbox Briefing-Only Fan Tickets! All winners will be able to enjoy the Xbox E3 Briefing in-person on Sunday, June 10 at 1:00 PM PST.

Due to the tremendous demand for tickets, and in an effort to keep it as fair as possible for all Xbox fans, we’re shifting the ticketing process to an online random drawing – fans who have an Xbox Live gamertag and are over the age of 21 will be able to submit their names for either ticket on our submission website. The submission website – coming soon – will stay open for several days before we choose winners. The winners of the FanFest tickets will be chosen first, and the drawing of Briefing-Only Fan Tickets will follow soon after.

We’re switching things up in regards to our pricing this year, too. While there will be no cost for the Briefing-Only Fan Tickets, this year each FanFest ticket will cost $45, with FanFest ticket winners being able to purchase up to two tickets each. The decision to charge this year wasn’t taken lightly so we are making 100% sure there is a FanFest-sized benefit. Where FanFest has always been about paying it forward to passionate Xbox fans around the world, now the fans will be able to pay it forward to others. All money raised from the sale of FanFest tickets will benefit a charity that we will announce in the near future. Further, we’ll have a special moment at E3 where FanFest attendees will get to see first-hand how their money will turn into something amazing for others.

So how will the ticketing work? You’ll need to submit your name during the open submission dates that we’ll be announcing soon, then choose the ticket (or tickets) you would like to be considered for. You may choose both! If you win a ticket to Xbox FanFest, you will automatically have access to the Xbox Briefing. If you don’t win a FanFest ticket, you are eligible for the Briefing-Only Fan Ticket only if you specify that in your original submission. FanFest winners and their Guest are not eligible for additional Briefing-only Fan Tickets. Last but not least, keep an eye on the random drawing dates, then watch your email inbox once the winners have been chosen.

Finally, we’re excited to share the first two epic gifts FanFest attendees will receive this year. As in previous years, we’ve had a special, custom-built backpack full of gaming gear. As you might have seen on Inside Xbox, we revealed a brand-new, custom FanFest jersey in collaboration with Meta Threads., and a Seagate 2TB Game Drive for Xbox, Sea of Thieves Special Edition, with exclusive Sea of Thieves in-game content and 1-month of Xbox Game Pass. And that’s only the beginning.

These are just a few of the activities Xbox has planned for the week, so stay tuned to Xbox Wire for all the latest on E3 2018!
