Lovely day for it! We Happy Few is now available around the world for Xbox One!

In We Happy Few, you’ll play the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial in the city of Wellington Wells. In this alternative 1960s England, conformity is key. You’ll have to fight or blend in with the drug-addled inhabitants, most of whom don’t take kindly to people who won’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

When discovering the retrofuturistic city’s dark history, you’ll play through the intertwined narratives of three quietly rebellious citizens of Wellington Wells. Each with their own strengths and weaknesses, you’ll discover their pasts, prepare for their future, and engage in activities that aren’t exactly status quo in the artificially-enthused society.

The We Happy Few Deluxe Edition is also available for purchase – this collection includes the base game, plus the Season Pass, which will grant access to three new adventures in Wellington Wells as they become available:

Sandbox Mode
This free update will add an infinite mode, set in a world that you can customize as you wish (larger, smaller, more dangerous, less food, more Wellies, etc).  You will be able to customize some of the rules of the game, including choosing to play as a Wellie (Wellie Mode!). This mode will bring back the systemic, sandbox world showcased in the early days of We Happy Few.

When we first announced We Happy Few in 2015, we started with a very small community who shared our passion for strange worlds and flawed characters. As the game grew, so did our community, and we couldn’t have asked for more kind, understanding, and funny fans. For two-and-a-half years we shared our work weekly with you, and you were part of our team as we built We Happy Few.
