Support Tip: Multiple configuration settings moving for Intune iOS management

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Intune Customer Success articles.

In the February Intune release, we plan to update where a number of Safari app settings for iOS are configured. There’s no end user impact; we’re just moving settings around to more logically align them with other Apple settings. Since we're actually moving a whole tab within the UI, we figured you may want to have advanced notice.

The Safari app configuration settings for iOS devices are all moving into the “built in apps” tab within Intune which also includes the Siri device restriction settings. That way, you can configure all your Apple device restriction settings in one blade.

In addition, we’re moving the delay visibility of software updates for iOS to the device restrictions tab. It is important to note that delaying the visibility of software updates to end users continues to have no impact on scheduled updates.

Here's a screenshot of the Safari change so you can see where the settings are moving to.
