The newest chapter in the Black Ops 4 Zombies adventure has arrived! Ancient Evil picks up right where IX left off, as Scarlett, Diego, Bruno, and Shaw awaken from their mind-trip to an ancient coliseum, where they battled the hordes of the undead and faced a fatal confrontation with the High Priest of Chaos.

If you’ve been keeping up with Black Ops 4’s Chaos story throughout the game and supporting comic book series, you’ll know The Order will stop at nothing to achieve their goal of harnessing the power of the Prima Materia… and Scarlett and her companions have thrust themselves into the thick of it. Though their previous adventures may have resulted in some highly unexpected circumstances, the group begins this journey with their heads on straight and newfound knowledge at hand.

With our heroes still very much alive in the underground caverns of Greece, we learn that the voice guiding them is in fact the fabled Oracle of Delphi – and she needs their help to free her from her bonds within the Temple of Apollo. As Scarlett continues her sole mission to rescue her father, Alistair Rhodes, she soon discovers the Oracle’s freedom is the key to finding him.

The crew begins to explore the colossal underground cavern, where a large-scale, subterranean city mimicking the surface Greek city of Delphi has lain undiscovered for centuries. The classic myths surrounding this location – one of the most sacred sites of ancient Greece – provide some breathtaking locations, strange new enemies, unexpected allies, and a surprise villain or two.

Faced with a Sentinel Trial that has been in progress for centuries and has perpetually trapped the city’s former inhabitants, you’ll encounter not only terrifying zombies, but skeletal warriors, multi-armed giants, and other mythical beings. Not all of them are out to kill you, however. One such creature is the mighty Pegasus, a winged steed that can be summoned to aid you when your team needs some otherworldly assistance in clearing out the undead.

It wouldn’t be a Treyarch Zombies map without a new arsenal of unique weapons to help you annihilate the horde, and Ancient Evil delivers with all-new weaponry blessed by the goddess Gaia herself. Veterans and newbies alike will find plenty of mythical power to wield against their enemies, as well as the classic Pack-a-Punch mechanism hidden within Delphi’s depths. As the waves of zombies increase in number, you’ll need to keep packing more firepower to stand a chance in those higher rounds.

Utilizing powerful new weapons, power-ups, and devious traps, the Chaos crew will come to learn the importance of the Oracle – and Delphi itself – to rescuing Alistair Rhodes, and preventing the High Priest of Chaos and his fanatical disciples from gaining access to ultimate power.

Ancient Evil is the culmination of the current Chaos story arc thus far, following the events of Voyage of Despair, IX, and the recent star-studded prequel, Dead of the Night. If you’re new to the Black Ops 4 Zombies saga, there’s never been a better time to jump in, start solving those Easter Eggs, and immerse yourself in the ever-twisting narrative behind it all. Fans of the classic Aether story can also experience Blood of the Dead as the Primis crew (Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai), and Black Ops Pass holders get instant access to Classified, the raucous return to the Pentagon in a reimagined Black Ops fan-favorite.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies: Ancient Evil is available to all Black Ops Pass Owners of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
