It’s April which means the sun is coming out, flowers are blooming, and we’re at the half-way point to Halloween. While the days are looking a little brighter, the ID@Xbox team preferred to cling to the dusk this month. To show our appreciation for dark, frightful fun we put over 45 fantastic horror on sale – up to 75% off — from now through April 8 in the ID@Xbox Horror Sale! Here’s just a taste of what you can find discounted on the Microsoft Store.

Friday the 13th: The Game (75% off) The hockey mask of Jason Voorhees has been a staple of the horror genre for decades. Horror fans will love bringing this character to life in Friday the 13th: The Game. Stalk your prey, ambush them whenever you see fit, and strike fear in the hearts of so many hapless victims as you become the legend himself! The game includes a variety of kills, new and familiar, that will help you set the tone for the Jason Voorhees that you want to be. You’ll even get to unlock various Jason incarnations from the films!

Dead by Daylight: Special Edition (50% off) Whether you prefer to chase people down or try to outwit a killer, Dead by Daylight might be for you. Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4 vs 1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage killer; the others play as survivors, trying to escape and avoid being caught, tortured, and killed. Survivors have the advantage of situational awareness in third-person, while the killer plays in first-person and is more focused on their prey. There are tons of customization options for the game with DLC including horror icons Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, and now Ash Williams!

Home Sweet Home (25% off) Inspired by real-world Thai mythology and beliefs, Home Sweet Home takes these myths of the dead and brings them to life. After his wife’s disappearance, Tim awakens to find himself in a strange, dilapidated building instead of the comfort of his home. While he begins to search for a way out and solve questions that could lead to his wife’s disappearance, he’ll find himself being hunted by vengeful, evil spirits. There is a dark and sinister secret casting a shadow over this interconnected labyrinth… and it’s no longer the happy home that it once was.

Outlast (80% off) Outlast is rife with jump scares and nerve wrecking terror that will leave you on the edge of your seat. In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum, a long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the research and charity branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation. The asylum has been operating in strict secrecy… until now. A truly terrifying experience that all horror fans should experience, Outlast is currently available with Xbox Game Pass, leaving the Game Pass catalog on April 21 – don’t miss out!

Soma (60% off) More of a psychological take on horror, Soma is set below the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The radio is dead, food is running out, and the machines have started to think they are people. Stuck in PATHOS-II, an underwater facility that has been forced into isolation, you will to have to make some tough decisions that will make you question your very existence. What can be done? What makes sense? What is left to fight for? Be prepared to find out.

This is just a small sample of all the great games on sale from April 2 – 8. Now’s the perfect time to chase down your favorite horror game. Remember: “All work and no play makes Jack you a dull boy.” See the full list of games here on Xbox.com.
