Hello All,

You should see in the next few months this feature rolling out to your Tenants, the feature will improve how SharePoint Admin role can manage O365 Groups used with the Modern Site Template.

In the current SharePoint Online admin center experience, the following Microsoft 365 admin roles can manage Office 365 Groups: global administrator, user administrator, and Exchange administrator. In response to customer feedback, we will provide SharePoint Online administrator permissions to manage Office 365 Groups in the new SharePoint Online admin center.

Once the change is completed, SharePoint Online administrators will be able to perform the following tasks to SharePoint Online team sites tied to Office 365 Groups:

  • Create

  • Delete

  • Restore

  • Change Owners of a group.
