Released: Microsoft.Data.SqlClient 1.1 Preview 1

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: New blog articles in Microsoft Tech Community.

We have been busy working on documentation and housecleaning tasks since our recent 1.0 GA release and have release our first preview for 1.1 of Microsoft.Data.SqlClient.

To try out the new package, add a NuGet reference to Microsoft.Data.SqlClient in your application.

The biggest difference in this release from the previous one is the addition of support for Visual Studio Intellisense with XML Documentation (#210). While some of the previous code included XML documentation, it was incomplete and very much out of sync with what was documented in the .NET API browser.

For the full list of changes in Microsoft.Data.SqlClient 1.1 Preview 1, please see the Release Notes.

Again, to try out the new package, add a NuGet reference to Microsoft.Data.SqlClient in your application. We appreciate the time and effort you spend checking out our previews. It makes the final product that much better. If you encounter any issues or have any feedback, head over to the SqlClient GitHub repository and submit an issue.
