Banners & Logo 2020 – Voting opened!

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: New blog articles in Microsoft Tech Community.

Voting opened!

On November 25, 2019 Kamlesh Kumar published the “Call-to-arm” to all designers. In the last several years we use this call to invite the community’s members to create new banners and logo for the community.

Well, you did it once more and even better! Records were broke and the number of participates this year was higher then ever before. Tons of new images and many versions were created by the community during the last few weeks. Out of these, 59 banners and 25 different set of Logos were registered to the final Banners & logo contest.

And now it is time for the next step…

Voting is open to all members of the TechNet Wiki community.

All the images will be open to all to use, and probably in the following year(s) all images will be used, but we need to choose the best images to be used as the official banners. The next step is the open community voting! This is your opportunity to rank the images and help us to choose the right images as our next banners for the year 2020. Voting opened!

How to vote – read all before you go to vote

Note! Read all the instructions so your voice (your vote) won't be rejected.

The community vote is done using Microsoft forms. The form includes three sections:

> In the first section you fill your personal information. This information will be used to identify and confirm that the vote came from a member of the TechNet Wiki community. You will need to fill your name, a communication channel, and personal voting PIN which you can get from the project Committee members – for more information on how you get the voting PIN please check the instruction bellow.

> A list of all the banners which get to the final contest.

> A list of all the SET of logos which get to the final contest.

Pre-voting: Get your personal voting pin

1. Contact in private one of the project Committee members (Kamlesh Kumar, Gaurav Aroraa, or Ronen Ariely).

We highly encourage you and ask to prefer using Facebook channel for this. With that being said, if you are not using Facebook, then use the communication channel which you usually use in order to contact us. If you participated in the “Banners & Logo project” then it is a must that you already have a direct channel to one of the project Committee members.

2. We will provide you a random number which will be used as your personal voting pin, and we will store this information.

3. When you fill the first section of the voting:

3.1 Make sure that you fill the communication channel which was used in step 1, in order to get your personal voting pin (for example Facebook profile / Skype username or email/ or direct Email).

3.2 Fill the personal voting pin which you got.

* The combination of the above two parameters, will allow us to confirm that this is a legit vote.

Any vote which will not fit to our records, will not be taken into consideration and will be removed from the system!

Start your vote

Use this link to open the voting form.

Important! We have over 80 images to review. Filing this form can be time consuming. Don’t start your vote if you don’t have time to finish it. The voting takes several minutes at least!

Go over all the images, without skipping. Any vote has a huge impact on the result, so please make it count!

You can give a score between 1 to 10 to each image.

Check each image, review its quality and how it fits as banner for the Facebook group, and mark your score.

* note: Please use a score above 8 ONLY if this image is really fit perfect in your opinion. Use a score bellow 3 ONLY for extreme case where you think the image shouldn’t be used for anything. In general, most images should get the score between 4 and 8.

Thanks!

If you choose to participate in the voting, then make it count! Your voting is highly appreciated and important.

Thanks for participating in the TechNet Wiki “Banners & Logo” project

Regards,

Banners & Logo project Committee.
