Experiencing Alerting failure for Log Search Alerts in West Central US – 01/07 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 01/07, 01:55 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 01/07, 00:06 UTC and that during the 1 hour and 49 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers in West Central US Region experienced issues with data access in the Azure portal, query failures for Log Analytics and alerting failures for Log Search Alerts.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to issue in one of our backend services.

We understand that customers rely on Log Search Alerts as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues within Log Search Alerts and are actively investigating. Some customers in West Central US Region may experience data access issue in Azure Portal, query failures in Log Analytics and alerting failures for Log Search Alerts.
