Access Canvas LMS content and Moodle courses within Microsoft Teams

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Education Blog articles.

Last month, we announced several learning management system (LMS) integrations that make it easier for schools and universities to create a Microsoft Teams meeting from within their LMS. Since then, Haldor, Firefly, and Moodle have also made it possible for educators to create Teams meetings from within their UIs. With these integrations, more schools and universities are staying connected and continuing instruction, all while remote.

To make it possible for even more educators to facilitate distance learning, we worked closely with our app partners to build upon these integrations. That is why you can now access your Canvas LMS content and coming soon your Moodle courses from within Teams, giving you a single space for collaborative learning no matter your physical location.

In Teams, students are equipped with a range of communication tools that enable collaborative learning and group work. Educators can also connect with students for classes and office hours through Teams meetings and continue the discussion in their class team channel. When your LMS course materials are available in Teams, you can enrich your virtual classroom and more effectively engage students.

Here’s how schools and universities can access their Canvas and Moodle course materials in Teams:

GO1 app brings your Canvas course content into Teams

With the GO1 app, you can access your Canvas course materials directly in Teams. GO1 also supplements the learning content you already have in Canvas with the world’s largest library of online learning resources. Find the GO1 app in the Teams app store, then login with your Canvas account details. Don’t use Canvas? You can still create a GO1 account to access their library of learning resources. With this newly integrated app, you and your students can quickly access a host of learning resources all from within Teams.

As part of this launch, GO1’s Premium subscription, which comes with tens of thousands of learning resources, will be available for free to any organization using the GO1 Teams app through the end of June 2020.
