Outlook supports controls for use of personal data

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Outlook Blog articles.

Outlook for iOS and Android brings your emails, calendars, contacts and documents together in one app. As your personal organizer, Outlook helps you to manage your time, communications and share information, files, photos easily from both your work and personal accounts. To further protect your privacy and help keep your data safe, Outlook is adding support for an additional Microsoft Intune app protection policy setting that prevents cross-account file sharing.

This update will introduce helpful ways for organizations to control how managed accounts handle data transfer and help safeguard users from inadvertently stepping outside of their company compliance policies for sharing personal data through their work accounts.

To learn more about the new experience when these policies are applied to Outlook mobile, please review the article in the Tech Community blog for Microsoft Intune.  We expect this update to start rolling out later this calendar quarter.
