Experiencing Alerting failure issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 05/12 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 05/12, 00:20 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 05/11, 23:45 UTC and that during the 35 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers in West Europe region might have experienced alerting failures.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue in one of our dependent services.
  • Incident Timeline: 35 minutes - 05/11, 23:45 UTC through 05/12, 00:20 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
