Play The Division for Free This Weekend With Xbox Live Gold

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Xbox Wire.

Get ready to explore the post-pandemic streets of Manhattan in Tom Clancy’s The Division for free this weekend on Xbox One, exclusively for Xbox Live Gold members. As an agent of The Division, a last-resort unit of elite soldiers that are only called in when all else fails, you’ll be able to team up with other players (or go it alone) to take on roving gangs of criminals, zealots, and mercenaries as you fight to reclaim the streets, rescue civilians, and (of course) amass rare and powerful loot.

Starting at 12:01 AM PDT Thursday, May 4, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download and get full access to The Division‘s Standard edition and its free content updates until 11:59 PM PDT Sunday, May 7 from the Xbox Store on their console.

In that time, you’ll be able to storm through treacherous gang strongholds alone or with friends, level up your agent’s skills, and venture into the Dark Zone to attack or ally with other players as you compete to grab the best loot. And if it’s your first time playing The Division, you’ll be coming to the game after more than a year of updates, improvements, and new features designed to create the best possible experience.

If you want to keep playing after May 7, The Division‘s Standard and Gold editions can be purchased at a whopping 60% discount from the Xbox Store on your console from May 4 – 15 (or May 4 – 8 for non-Gold members), letting you keep any progress you made during the free weekend.

Defending Manhattan is a big job, so prepare to gear up and scour the streets of The Division‘s devastated open world this weekend. For more information, check out thedivisiongame.com/freeweekend.
