Join the Azure Database Migration Engineering Team at Microsoft Ignite

The Azure Database Migration Engineering Team, represented by Raj Pochiraju ( @rajpochiraju ) and Shamik Ghosh( @g_shamik ), will host multiple workshops and be speaking at several sessions at the Microsoft Ignite ( @MSIgnite )conference next week from September 24th to 28th, 2018 in Orlando, FL, USA.

The team will share guidance on how to seamlessly move your applications to Azure using the Azure Database Migration Service to help you with your cloud journey. Our workshops will provide you with the opportunity to get hands-on experience using the Azure Database Migration Service to assist with performing lift-and-shift migrations from SQL Server to Azure SQL Database or Managed Instance. We also have several sessions discussing the migration experience from a large enterprise Data warehouse to Azure, as well as on-premises SQL Server migrations to Azure SQL Database or Managed Instances.

PRE21 - Migrate to Azure now - move your apps, data, and infrastructure to the cloud ( 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM )

September 26 (Wed)
WRK3012 - Lift-and-shift on-premises SQL Server databases to Azure SQL Database Managed Instance using Azure Database Migration Service ( 2:15 PM – 3:30 PM )

September 27 (Thu)
BRK3327 - Migration experience from an on-premises enterprise data warehouse to Azure ( 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM )

September 28 (Fri)
BRK3164 - Migrating to Azure: Moving from on-premises SQL Server and Oracle databases to Azure ( 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM )
