The Sims 4 Spa Day is Now Available, Plus Mouse and Keyboard Support on Xbox One

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Xbox Wire.

Many things come to mind when thinking of Spring. Flowers blooming, birds chirping, finally putting away winter coats. Ahhh, rejuvenating isn’t it? So rejuvenating that we think it’s time your Sims get to have a spa day! That’s right, The Sims 4 Spa Day is available today on Xbox One. Get ready for massages, cucumber slices, and more yoga than your Sims can handle.

We’ll get into more details soon about Spa Day, but wanted to share some exciting news for Xbox One players: mouse and keyboard support is here for The Sims 4 on Xbox One! We know this is a highly-requested feature of our lovely community and we’re excited to finally be able to deliver this to you.

Most USB keyboard and mouse devices will work, as well as the Razer Turret. For those that like to play with mouse sensitivity (or switching to left-handed play), you can find those settings on your Xbox One console itself. From the game’s options menu, you will be able to adjust the camera speed in-game.

Get Cool, Calm, and Connected

As great as it is to reveal mouse and keyboard support for The Sims 4 on Xbox One, let’s get back to what we’re also excited to share more about: Spa Day! Check out our top five most interesting perks of this pack.

  1. Sims now have a Wellness Skill.

Practicing yoga, giving massages, and meditating all improve your Sim’s Wellness Skill. The higher the Wellness Skill, the better they’ll be at striking those yoga poses and giving fantastic massages. They’ll even be able to make new recipes with special benefits!

  1. Meditation masters earn supernatural interactions.

Ever notice that people who meditate just seem a little more… serene? Like, supernaturally serene? Sims who continue to work up their Wellness Skill with meditation become capable of levitation and, eventually, teleportation. Seriously, why can’t this be real life?

  1. There’s a mud bath and soaks (and a twist).

If your Sim is looking for a different form of relaxation, a mud bath or soaks is the way to go. But there’s something special about these suds; moodlet magic, if you will. Laying in the mud can give your Sim a Confident moodlet, while soaks can have different results. The Rose Garden Scent will leave them Flirty, the Baby Soft Skin soak is all about Happy, and other soaks can negate negative buffs caused by being Sad or Angry. Yep, watch those bad moodlets melt, Simmers.

  1. Your Sims can WooHoo (or die!) in the sauna.

No spa would be complete without something steamy. In this pack, saunas are more than just a place to unwind. When two amorous Sims are alone in the room, there’s a special WooHoo only available with the sauna. But, it’s not all fun and games – your Sim might meet their end if they spend too much time getting a superfluous steaming. Now, that’s hot.

  1. You can make your own spa.

For all you builders out there, you hold the keys to making a spa of your own. All mud baths all the time? What about a steam-filled sauna maze? A torture chamber of yoga classes for your laziest Sim? The power is in your hands, Simmer. Muahahaha!

Ready to get zen and use your favorite hardware? The Sims 4 Spa Day is available now in the Microsoft Store.
