New Microsoft Learn courses for Azure Migrate App Containerization

We covered Azure Migrate App Containerization here in the blog already - and we continue to work to improve it bringing new capabilities, such as support for Azure App Service as a destination for your containerized application.

However, moving an application from its regular deployment to a container (either on Azure Kubernetes Service or Azure App Services) does change how things usually work and operators might find it tricky. For that reason, the team did an amazing job and recently published four new courses on Microsoft Learn!

The courses are focused on the scenarios supported by App Containerization:

The courses are extremely easy to follow along and explain key concepts of containers, Kubernetes, and the App Containerization service itself.

Since App Containerization targets scenarios on which customers are moving existing applications to AKS or App Services, it might be complex to customers to create a test environment to try out the functionality. Because of that, to me the most interesting thing about these courses is that they allow you to try out App Containerization directly in Azure. The courses have a dedicated section to walk you through the configuration of your Azure subscription, and a handy "Deploy to Azure" button which deploys all the necessary infrastructure for you to try App Containerization - including a VM running the application to be containerized and another VM with the App Containerization tooling.
