In this post, I’d like to share highlights of our latest improvements to the Azure portal experience, which are detailed in the following sections.

 

Get started with the new Overview page

 

A new Overview page for Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server is designed to help users get information about all server properties, access key monitoring metrics, and take advantage of tutorials designed to kickstart application development using PHP, .NET, or Java.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Diagnose and solve potential problems

 

The Diagnose and solve problems page for a server provides detail about how to troubleshoot common issues related to availability, connectivity, migration, scaling, performance, and more. Follow the guidance provided on the page to quickly mitigate any ongoing issues and take action to resolve them.

 

 

 

Improved Backup and restore experience

 

We’re delighted to announce that the upgraded Backup and Restore experience for Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server is lifting the cloak of invisibility from a server’s automated full backups. We’re launching a dedicated Backup and Restore blade in the Azure portal, which allows customers to view backup history within the retention period and to use a full server backup to quickly restore a server. Improve monitoring views with Workbook integration

 

Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server is now integrated with Azure Monitor Workbooks. Workbooks provide a flexible canvas for data analysis and enable the creation of rich visual reports within the Azure portal. There are three default templates available for Azure Database for MySQL - Flexible Server, as shown in the following image:

Share feedback via the portal

 

You will see a Feedback button on page when managing your server in the Azure portal. Please tell us about your experience when you update the server capabilities such networking, server parameters , replicas, high availability  in the portal for your instance of MySQL - Flexible Server.
