Experiencing Data Access for Azure Monitor – 12/01 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 12/1, 4:27 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 12/1, 00:36 UTC and that during the 3 hours and 51 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some customers may have experienced issues querying App service metrics within Azure monitor.
  • Root Cause: We have identified that a long range queries for metrics data in the past has reached the threshold of the metrics system.
  • Incident Timeline: 3 Hours & 51 minutes - 12/1, 00:36 UTC through 12/1, 4:27 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Azure Monitor as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues with querying App Service metrics within Azure Monitor and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience issues querying App service metrics.
