At CES 2022, Lenovo introduced Windows 11 devices designed to meet the needs of a wide array of people, including creators, hybrid workers, gamers and environmentally conscious consumers. https://youtu.be/R4iwyORc0AM A decade after Lenovo debuted its 360-degree flexible hinge design on the multi-mode Yoga 2-in-1 laptop at CES, the Yoga continues to span and stretch across form factors with the seventh generation of this defining line of laptops. For this 10th anniversary, the design language reboot shifts towards a new vertically flipped Yoga wordmark and includes curved edges for its convertibles, a gender-neutral color palette, more recycled materials and luxury finishes. More than just a multi-mode laptop that flips to tablet mode and back, this premium device delivers an enhanced audio experience via new speakers that pump up the loudness factor over the previous generation. But in addition to streaming and browsing with immersive sight and sound, it’s also got innovative features to keep up with today’s busy hybrid learning and working lifestyle. Now it’s easier to open, with one hand, while an untraditional edge-to-edge keyboard design layout complements a bar of new 1-Click Function Keys with five additional shortcut keys marked with user-friendly icons for quick access to frequently used features, such as the background blur function that instantly helps to protect the privacy of your surroundings on video calls via Microsoft Teams. It features more sustainable materials, such as 75% recycled aluminium and black vegan leather made from 100% recycled plastics (polyethylene terephthalate). Sustainability extends to the packaging, made from 100% recyclable and compostable bamboo and sugarcane. Even the AC power adapter was designed with intent, as it uses 90% Post-Consumer Content (PCC). These will be the first laptops powered by the very latest AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 Series Mobile Processors with the Microsoft Pluton security processor. Building on a layered approach, AMD Ryzen 6000 Series is the first x86 processor to integrate the Microsoft Pluton security processor to help even more with chip-to-cloud protection. The Microsoft Pluton security processor is designed to help defend against new, sophisticated attacks and offer continuous protection of user identity, data and applications. All models now support 12th Gen Intel Core P-series processors that offer a significant leap in performance from previous generations. All powered by Windows 11, they are optimized for hybrid workers and professionals who seek higher levels of performance, better camera and audio capabilities for more immersive collaboration, and a more secure laptop to protect them from the daily demands of hybrid working. A key design feature is the new communications bar that integrates improved FHD webcam options, Privacy Shutter and 360-degree far field quad-array microphones. With this design, there is a camera with a larger sensor than what is usually found on laptops that increases image quality, especially in low light conditions. And with an updated ThinkBook 13x Gen 2, there’s an option to include a ThinkBook Wireless Multi-Device Charging Mat. The ThinkBook 14 Gen 4+ i and a new ThinkBook 16 Gen 4+ i include thinner designs, 16:10 aspect ratio displays, larger glass touchpads and smarter features. Time of Flight (ToF) sensors work in coordination with the FHD Infrared webcam to detect user presence, enabling zero touch login through Windows Hello and lock on leave. They can even automatically adjust screen brightness and keyboard backlight. On the play side, Lenovo’s first batch of Windows 11 gaming laptops for 2022 come equipped with next-gen processors from AMD Ryzen or Intel Core and up to latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX Laptop GPUs. These include the esports-centric 16-inch Lenovo Legion 5i Pro and Lenovo Legion 5 Pro laptops and the more mainstream 15-inch Lenovo Legion 5i and Lenovo Legion 5 laptops. Tuned for esports, the Lenovo Legion 5i Pro and Lenovo Legion 5 Pro cooling system includes an updated fan system, larger exhaust area and improved penta heat pipe layout that efficiently ushers air to lower skin temperatures. Smarter noise canceling happens to also be a shared obsession with Nahimic Audio by SteelSeries. Designed for hardcore gamers, Nahimic Audio on Lenovo Legion laptops delivers professional-level sound tuning and audio effects via a precise 10-band equalizer that lets gamers personalize their game’s sound frequencies. Both Lenovo Legion 5i and Lenovo Legion 5 have the new Legion Spectrum RGB Lighting solution, a 4-zone backlighting effects system developed by Lenovo and built into the Legion TrueStrike keyboard.
