Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure portal for Log Analytics – 01/12 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 01/12, 06:00 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 01/11, 07:00 UTC and that during the 23 hours that it took to resolve the issue customers using Log Analytics and Container insights may have experienced errors retrieving and viewing data in Azure portal in USGov Virginia and USGov Arizona region.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a recent configuration change to one of our dependent backend service.
  • Incident Timeline: 23 Hours - 01/11, 07:00 UTC through 01/12, 06:00 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Azure Log Analytics and Container insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues within Log Analytics and Container insights, and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience errors retrieving and viewing data in Azure portal in USGov Virginia and USGov Arizona region.
