To succeed in a tech career, you'll need to have a strong foundation of skills. This will depend on the field you choose, but some skills that are generally useful include:

  • Programming: Most tech careers require at least some programming skills. Some fields, like software development, rely heavily on programming, while others may only require a basic understanding. Some popular programming languages to learn include Python, Java, and C++.

  • Data analysis: Being able to analyze and interpret data is a valuable skill in many tech fields, especially data science. Tools like Excel and SQL can be useful for analyzing data, and learning a programming language like Python can also be helpful for data analysis.
