Xbox Insiders Receive Thanks from the Robocraft Infinity Team

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Xbox Wire.

Last week, we announced an exciting playtest for Robocraft Infinity, a game that challenges you to build powerful robots and do battle with them. Alongside the announcement, we included a Q&A where Andy Griffiths, the Communications Manager for Freejam Ltd., issued a call for help from Xbox Insiders to play the game, report any issues and provide feedback. We’re pleased to announce that our community answered his calls, and we’ve got some cool stats that prove it:

  • The playtest was available from Thursday, March 1, at 12 p.m. UTC (4:00 a.m. PST) through Monday, March 5, at 11:59 a.m. UTC (3:59 a.m. PST)
  • 48,000 beta keys were given out via the Xbox Insider Hub during this time
  • 32,690 players took part in the Robocraft Infinity playtest, many of whom played over multiple days
  • 14,302 matches of Team Deathmatch and Battle Arena were completed
  • 4,529 robots were uploaded to the Factory, an in-game community space
  • Saturday saw the most activity, with 18,312 new players trying out the game and servers hitting a peak number of 1,825 users playing concurrently

Not only did Andy and the rest of the team responsible for bringing Robocraft Infinity to the Xbox Insider Program and Xbox One share this exciting data, but they also wanted to thank the Xbox Insider community personally. Here’s what they had to say:

“We’d like to thank every Xbox Insider for taking the time to be a part of this test, and of course, the Xbox Insider Team as well – as an independent developer, we couldn’t have possibly arranged such a big playtest without the help.

We’ve received lots of feedback on the current state of the game via our Official Robocraft Infinity club on Xbox, Twitter (@RobocraftInf) and We’ve already managed to hunt down and resolve a handful of bugs, and our diligent team is working on [even] more fixes as you read this.

We will be conducting another playtest on Friday, March 16, through Monday, March 19, so keep an eye on the Xbox Insider Hub during that time if you’ve yet to try our awesome robot-building shooter. Oh, and if you helped us in the previous test, you’re already ready for the next one. Pretty cool, right?

During the next playtest you’ll be free to capture screenshots and video and post them publicly on any social channel of your choice. You’ll even be able to stream the game. Essentially, we want you to spread the word about Robocraft Infinity and your awesome robot creations as far and wide as possible!”
