Today we are announcing that the Office cloud policy service will begin rolling out for Microsoft 365 government GCC, GCC High and DoD customers from April through May 2022, following this release schedule:

  • Mid to late April 2022 – Available in GCC High
  • Early to mid May 2022 – Available in DoD
  • Mid to late May 2022 – Available in GCC

The Office cloud policy service allows Microsoft 365 administrators to configure policies  for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise and assign these policies using Office 365 groups or Azure Active Directory security groups.  Once configured, these policies are automatically enforced as users sign in and use Microsoft 365 apps.

The initial release will support policies for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise on Windows and future updates will bring support for additional applications and platforms.
