Experiencing Data Gap, Data Latency and Data Access in Azure Monitor – 03/22 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 3/22, 13:10 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 3/22, 12:10 UTC and that during the 1 hour that it took to resolve the issue some customers using Azure Monitor in China region might have experienced intermittent data access, data latency, data gaps and incorrect alert activation.

  • Root Cause: The failure was due to a backend dependency.
  • Incident Timeline: 1 Hour - 3/22, 12:10 UTC through 3/22, 13:10 UTC
  • We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
