We are happy to announce that Live Captions is now in GA in Teams on Azure Virtual Desktop! Providing accessibility has been an important priority and a top customer request. Now Teams on Azure Virtual Desktop can detect what’s being said and who’s saying it in real-time captions. This feature is designed for those who prefer visual cues when engaging with meeting participants and ensures everyone can follow the conversation effectively.

  • View the text spoken by each person displayed by their name.
  • Change the spoken language – available in 28 different languages.
  • Use live captions when there’s poor audio quality during a virtual meeting.
  • Refer back to the text conversation to better understand what is being said.
