This month’s in-depth topic:  Optimize Authentication and Authorization in your web apps and web APIs using Microsoft Identity Web.  Microsoft Identity Web is a set of ASP.NET Core libraries that simplifies adding authentication and authorization support to web apps and web APIs integrating with the Microsoft identity platform. It provides a single-surface API convenience layer that ties together ASP.NET Core, its authentication middleware, and the Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) for .NET.  In this session we cover:  App topology, Microsoft Identity Platform and its libraries, token acquisition using MSAL and Microsoft Identity Web, demo – sign in user and read profile with Microsoft Graph, the permission and consent framework, demo – Incremental permission, and best practices.  Presenter Rinki Bera – Program Manager, Microsoft Identity.   Recorded March 17, 2022.   Q&A in chat and at end of call.
