Experiencing Data Access issue in Azure Monitor for Many Data Types – 06/06 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 06/06, 05:40 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 06/06, 03:25 UTC and that during the 2 hours and 15 minutes that it took to resolve the issue. Some customers using Log Analytics, Application Insights and Log Search Alerts in Azure China may have experienced failure notifications when retrieving resources in Azure Portal and running queries for Log Analytics may also fail.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to configuration error of a backend service, preventing retrieving requests and queries from completing.
  • Incident Timeline: 2 Hours & 15 minutes - 06/06, 03:25 UTC through 06/06, 05:40 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
