Live present in Microsoft Forms

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: New blog articles in Microsoft Community Hub.

Interaction and engagement are crucial for capturing the attention and interest of your audience. That's why we are excited to introduce Microsoft Forms' live present capabilities, offering a new way to share your forms or quizzes. With the innovative present mode, you can effortlessly showcase your form/quiz and engage your audience on a deeper level. Let's explore how it works.

Present mode

By simply clicking on the "present" icon located in the top right corner, you can enter the engaging and interactive present mode.

Once in present mode, a QR code and a shorter URL linked to the survey will be displayed on the right side of your form/quiz. And it serves as a gateway for responders to access the form using their smartphones. All they need to do is to scan the QR code with their phone's camera or a QR code scanning app, and they will be instantly directed to the form.

 Dynamic real-time result

In the present mode, there is no need to navigate back to the response page to check the result. Instead, you can view the result on the same page. Besides, when new responses come in, the result will dynamically update, reflecting the latest information.

All responses will be saved in the existing “Response” tab once you exit the present mode and enter editing mode.

 Permission control

Live present mode will respect the permission setting on the forms/quiz level, we suggest setting to “Anyone can respond” if you have external audience or would love to get better responses. Switching to the other two permission modes will request corresponding authentications.

What’s next

In parallel, we are upgrading Forms PPT add-on experience which will enable presenters to better engage with the audience and see the responses in real time. Most importantly, presenters can stay in the flow without opening another browser and jumping across screens. Please stay tuned for the new experiences which will be released in coming months.
