Environment is used to store and manage the organization's data within power platform. So, the environment allows you to provide one Dataverse database for use in the environment and Dataverse environments may have different roles, security requirements, or target audiences. Power Apps automatically creates a one default environment under a Microsoft Azure active directory tenant and its resources can only be accessed by users within that tenant.
Types of environments
There are three main types of Environments:
- Production Env: This is used for permanent work of an organization.
- Sandbox/Test Env: This is used for development and testing purposes.
- Development Env: This is used for Developer Plan.
Setting Up an Environment
1.Sign into the Power Platform admin center at https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com as an admin (Dynamics 365 admin, Global admin, or Microsoft Power Platform admin).
2.In the navigation pane, select Environments, and then select New.
