What’s New in Sales Copilot – December 2023

Microsoft Sales Copilot is reimagining sales. Integrated seamlessly into your daily tools across Microsoft 365 and Teams, Sales Copilot harnesses the power of generative AI and customer data to keep sellers in their flow of work so they can spend more time with customers.

As the calendar year comes to a close, we're releasing two great new features we'd like to share with you. Learn more below as we highlight our new features and provide you with what you need to get started, stay connected, participate in our community, and provide product feedback.

Enable support for creating Leads directly in Sales Copilot (Public Preview)

We're excited to release for Public Preview a much-anticipated feature to support Leads in Sales Copilot! Starting in December, sellers can engage with Leads in their regular flow of work as well as in their CRM to help streamline their day!

Sellers can now create and edit Leads in the same way they can with Contacts, as well as save emails and meetings to Lead records. This feature allows sellers to stay in their flow of work instead of opening their CRM to add new Leads.

Sellers can:

  • View existing Leads in Sales Copilot.
  • Create and edit Lead records from emails.
  • Associate emails and meetings with Lead records.
  • Disambiguate among multiple Lead matches.
  • Interact with Leads-related accounts and other related entities.

Learn how to configure leads support (preview) and register for the public preview.

Adaptive cards in Microsoft Teams load independent of Sales Copilot sign-in for Dynamics users

For Dynamics users, we're improving the user experience of adaptive cards in Teams by removing the pre-requisite to sign-in to Sales Copilot to have these load. As long as a Dynamics user has the right permissions, record cards and opportunity summary cards auto-posted in deal rooms will load without encountering the friction of a sign-in step from Sales Copilot.

As adaptive cards are fundamentally a collaboration between sender and recipient, both should see the same data to collaborate more efficiently and more effectively. With this enhancement the recipient will see what the sender meant them to see, even if the recipient was signed out or signed-in to a different environment from Sales Copilot.
