Copilot+ PC launched during Microsoft Build, and the announcement has been well received by end users with a series of engagement events taking place across Sydney by Microsoft Australia. Microsoft MVPs also played a significant role in educating the audience on Copilot capabilities through fun activities and demonstrations.

Kirsty McGrath, an M365 MVP, is passionate about sharing the latest news around Copilot. She hosts the Microsoft 365 Adoption - Sydney user group, as well as shares adoption resources on her YouTube channel.

Kirsty, alongside fellow M365 MVP, Daniel Anderson, demonstrated her excitement for accessible travel and technology at a recent consumer event at the Microsoft Experience Centre in Sydney. Kirsty showed guests how she used Copilot+ PC to plan a trip to Norway to see the beautiful Northern Lights.

Kirsty explained, “my demo focused on using Copilot+ PC to organise a holiday. Now, the really fun part was showing them how I’m actually planning an accessible holiday right now to Norway to see the Northern Lights at winter. It’s a great example to use the add-in app plug-ins like Kayak to help support Copilot results. It’s so fast on the new Copilot+ PC laptops… now I really mean, superrrrr fast!”

Kirsty also described her favourite Surface Pro feature and commented on the reliability of the connection, “I loved the new Flex keyboard for the Surface Pro, the fact you can disconnect it and it still works (I may have walked quite a way outside the Microsoft Store to test it).”

Rishona Elijah, a Business Applications MVP, who hosts her own Power Platform & Copilot Microsoft Learning Room to connect with the wider community, shares her experience at Vogue Codes, an annual event that celebrates women in STEM and technology.

Vogue Codes attracted over 600 attendees who were interested in learning about the latest trends and innovations in the tech industry. The theme for this year's event was Technotopia, which explored the next generation of female leaders and technology's impact on various topics. Azure AI Product Lead, Prerita Mehta, also joined a panel discussion on Australia's AI position in the world and Microsoft's role in sustainability and responsible AI.

Microsoft AI Platform MVP, Haritha Thilakarathne, also took part in this event with MVP Rishona, who showed the attendees the possibilities of Copilot and how it can help them when applied in different scenarios.

Rishona says, "I had a wonderful experience talking to attendees about Copilot and showcasing the capabilities to them. Not only did they have fun trying it out, but they were also thinking about practical ways it can help them at work. Attendees were amazed that they could use Copilot to write songs and poems, plan holiday itineraries, find recipe suggestions, design their own artworks, or help with analysing data in Excel.”

Rishona also shared her experience of using the new Cocreator tool, which is available in Copilot+ PCs. Cocreator is a feature that enhances Microsoft Paint by allowing users to generate realistic images from their sketches.

“Experiencing the new Cocreator tool available in Copilot+ PCs was a highlight for me. It really takes Microsoft Paint to the next level! I have been using Copilot already for image generation, but it was incredible to see how you can bring your drawings to life with Cocreator - you don’t need to be a talented artist to create a beautiful drawing," said Rishona.
