We’re excited to announce the Public Preview of Hotpatch enabled by Azure Arc for Windows Sever 2025 Datacenter and Standard editions!
Hotpatches are OS security updates that don’t require a reboot improving operational resiliency, especially for mission critical Windows Server workloads. With Azure Arc-enabled servers, customers can enable hotpatches for servers running across hybrid, multicloud, and edge environments. Customers can additionally pair Hotpatch with Azure management services delivered through Azure Arc like Azure Update Manager, that afford patch assessment and scheduling across environments, and Azure Monitor, for performance metrics and insights.
To get started, simply deploy the Connected Machine Agent and connect your servers to Azure Arc and enable Windows Server Hotpatch. While customers will not be charged for evaluating Windows Server Hotpatch during the Public Preview period, deployment of management services including Azure Update Manager and Azure Monitor may incur additional charges.
