Christian Stahl is a Reconnect Member who is heavily invested in giving back to his community using Microsoft technologies. He was awarded Microsoft MVP in SharePoint Server in 2011 for four years and has just started a new job as Senior Enterprise Architect at Tieto in Sweden.
Christian has used his skills and knowledge in SharePoint in various local projects. Working as the main front-end developer, and in architectural roles, Christian has been involved in large and complex SharePoint assignments for all schools in Stockholm, Sweden. He has helped give access to students, teachers and parents across the country. This has resulted in one million user accounts spanning from SharePoint server to SharePoint online with integrations to several APIs, Azure integrations and mobile apps. He said, “What has been especially fun is that I got the chance to deepen myself in the latest technologies in SharePoint Online development such as SPFx, React, TypeScript, SASS etc. A great and challenging project!”
As an MVP Christian regularly participated in the Global Summit in Redmond each year - “I must say that has been my favorite conference because it was fantastic to meet so many talented and committed people under one roof.” As a Reconnect Member Christian continues to attend local community connections and stays connected with former MVPs through the Reconnect Yammer channel and other webinars and tech calls. Christian also attended the MVP Community Connection that was held in Lyngby, Denmark for all Nordic and Benelux MVPs and Reconnect Members. “It was a great event packed with lots of valuable information on what’s going on in the Microsoft stack,” said Christian.
Christian is also a member of the international network Azure Office SharePoint (AoS) as an ambassador for his home country Sweden. As well as mentoring students in programming, he speaks regularly at national and international conferences whenever he can. Just over a year ago he was in Bangalore and Mumbai for the AoS Microsoft tour, and next month he is invited to speak at the Swedish Share and Evolve in Office 365 Forum (SEF). On top of his consultancy work in SharePoint, Christian also teaches front end developing for students in higher vocational education in Stockholm.
Looking to the future Christian is excited about his new role at Tieto and the opportunities it will open in up in terms of participating more actively in the community.
