Experiencing Alerting failure for Azure Monitor in China East 2 region- 04/18 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 04/18, 14:00 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 04/18, 10:45 UTC and that during the 3 hours and 15 minutes that it took to resolve the issue some of the customers in China East 2 region may experienced issues with missed or delayed Log Search alerts or experienced difficulties accessing data.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to configuration error of the back end service..
  • Incident Timeline: 3 Hours & 15 minutes - 04/18, 10:45 UTC through 04/18, 14:00 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Azure Monitor as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues within Log Analytics and Application Insights in China Cloud in China East 2 region and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience issues with missed or delayed Log Search alerts or experience difficulties accessing data.
