Revision Note: V1.1 (December 21, 2016): Revised bulletin to correct a CVE ID. CVE-2016-7298 has been changed to CVE-2016-7274, and the vulnerability information has been updated. This is an informational change only. Customers who have successfully installed the updates do not need to take any further action.
Summary: This security update resolves vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office. The most severe of the vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted Microsoft Office file. Customers whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than those who operate with administrative user rights.
