A new Kingdom Hearts III trailer was unveiled at Disney’s D23 conference in Tokyo this past weekend revealing Pixar’s “Monsters, Inc.” as the latest world to be included in the blockbuster video game series, building upon last Summer’s announcement of “Toy Story” appearing in the upcoming RPG.

Longtime Kingdom Hearts fans will spot a lot to be excited by in the trailer: the return of past friends and foes, expanded party size in action, and outlandishly dazzling Keyblade transformations that give Sora power and moves like never before.

Kingdom Hearts III will mark the first time the franchise comes to Xbox, a beloved action RPG series built upon a collaboration between Disney and Square Enix, directed by artistic superstar Tetsuya Nomura (Final Fantasy).

Shadowy creatures known as the Heartless have invaded the Disney worlds and King Mickey has sent Donald Duck and Goofy to find a worthy Keyblade wielder, one who could use the magical weaponry to seal each world to protect them from the Heartless. Through their journeys, they found Sora, the main protagonist of the series and together, they’ve battled the Heartless across dozens of Disney worlds, and even adventured with characters from the Final Fantasy universe.
