Announcing the Host Integration Server 2020 Cumulative Update 1

The Microsoft Host Integration Server product team has released the Cumulative Update 1 for Host Integration Server 2020.

 

The Cumulative Update 1 contains all released functional and security fixes for customer-reported issues for Host Integration Server 2020. Also, CU1 includes support for the following new Microsoft and IBM platforms:

 

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2022
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2022
  • Microsoft Windows 11
  • IBM MQ 9.2 and 9.3

 

While the End-of-Life Date for Host Integration Server 2016 (currently out of Mainstream support) is in 2027, the Host Integration Server 2013 End of Life Date is in 3 months, on Jan 9th, 2024. If you are NOT running HIS 2020, you must upgrade to as soon as possible to continue being supported by Microsoft.

 

More Information about the CU1:

 

This cumulative update includes all the product components. However, only those components that are currently installed on the system are updated. This CU1 includes fixes for the following areas:

 

  • Application Integration (TI Designer, PowerShell Importer for HIDX, Host Files Designer and Parsing)
  • Message Integration (BizTalk Adapter for MQ, MS MQ Client and MQSC)
  • Network Integration (SNA Manager, SNA Client)
  • Session Integration (Service Mapping, Responses and Emulator inputs)
  • Data Integration (DB2 Client, DRDA Server)
