Screen Shot 2022-04-27 at 5.14.57 PM.png Bonsai samples now include an updated Chemical Reactor sample based on the previous Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) model. The Chemical reactor optimizer sample trains a Bonsai brain to adjust the coolant temperature of a Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor as the reactor transitions between stable and unstable states. The trained AI will manage exothermic chemical reactions to prevent thermal runaway.

The updated CSTR sample showcases the following Bonsai features:

  • Modular brains with 3 concepts, including a learned selector.
  • Training weights for goal objective.
  • Web visualization that can be viewed during training.

The updated Chemical Processing Sample is available in the Bonsai UI as a beta feature and as an open-source project at https://github.com/microsoft/bonsai-cstr.
