Nice to meet you! (2).png

Hi there!

I’m Mihailo, but pretty much everybody knows me by my nickname – Mixa. I’m a Senior Engineer in Microsoft and Azure SQL Managed Instance is my primary area of focus. Suffice to say that aside from programming, I enjoy writing and drawing, which is something that you will be seeing a lot of in my articles :) I also happen to be yet another person who will be sharing some of the interesting things you can do with Azure SQL Managed Instance!

One of the first things that I will be talking about is SQLCLR. If you’re not super-familiar – worry not, I wasn’t familiar either! SQLCLR is this really cool technology that allows you to integrate your Managed Code (e.g. C#, C++, VB.NET, F#, etc.) with Azure SQL Managed Instance’s engine. And, as you are going to see, I honestly think that it’s absolutely amazing.

My plan is to do series of articles covering SQLCLR from various angles – starting with what it is, through how you can use it, all the way to some advance use-cases that I think are really awesome; but I already told you that, didn’t I? :) Here are some of the articles that I’m planning to cover within the next few weeks:

  • What SQLCLR is and how to use it?
  • How to invoke Web APIs through SQLCLR?
  • CLR lift and shift to Azure SQL Managed Instance with MI link

If you’re curious about learning more – stay tuned and watch for my articles on Tech Community! Or better yet – you can follow me and stay up to date with new topics I’ll be writing about!

Cheers!

Mixa
