Programming the Microsoft Surface Dial

This post has been republished via RSS; it originally appeared at: Channel 9.

Learn how to build UWP apps that support Windows wheel devices, such as the Surface Dial. We show how to use the RadialController APIs to customize both the tools on the integrated menu and how your app can respond to wheel input. Note that we use the Surface Studio to demonstrate the full power of the Surface Dial and RadialController APIs, including both off-screen and on-screen modes. However, any PC, laptop, or tablet with the Windows Anniversary Update supports the Surface Dial in off-screen mode.  Check out the video and then learn more at http://aka.ms/MicrosoftDialDev.
