From the Creators of Starbound, Wargroove is Coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017

Hello! We’re super excited to announce that our new game Wargroove is coming this year to Xbox One and Windows 10 with Xbox Play Anywhere support.

Wargroove is a modern take on the simple-but-complex turn-based tactical gameplay popularized in the 2000s by handheld games such as Advance Wars. Like many of you, we grew up with these games and we’re filled with nostalgia for this era. Having come up short in finding something similar to play, we saw a lot of interest out there for a new game in the same vein.

So with that in mind, we’re utilizing the technology available to us in 2017 to create an all-new experience with the heart and soul of the games we love, while also providing support for multiplayer and user-created content across Windows 10 and Xbox One!

We’re beyond excited to give this much-loved classic formula an arcade-inspired twist, and to bring a brand-new story to life in beautifully hand-rendered pixel art. And as we did with Starbound, we’ll be keeping the community updated on our development progress through frequent developer blogs, so keep an eye out for more details and news!

Stay tuned to Xbox Wire as well for further information about Wargroove in the coming months as we get closer to release.
