One of the top asks on Stream Ideas forum was to have the ability to set custom channel covers and last week we delivered this feature and now you can make the stream channels more personal and have a unique visual identity for your team or group.

There are 2 ways which you can use to assign custom channel covers -

  • When you are navigating in a channel, you can click on the drawer for the channel and you will see a new menu item as shown here, where you can upload a custom thumbnail.
  • Alternately, when you are editing the channel, you can also add a custom thumbnail from the menu item, right under the channel image placeholder.

Use these recommended guidelines when creating a new channel cover.

  • JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG file (you may get a better result by using a PNG file)
  • 640 X 360 px image (recommended)

As always, we are all ears for your feedback and comments.
