The MDS team is proud to announce an update for the Master Data Services Excel add-in . This release includes a number of performance improvements – most users will see up to a 4x improvement when loading data from an MDS server, without any additional server or environment changes. For an additional performance increase (2-4x), you can enable Dynamic Content Compression in IIS.
Note that while the update is for SQL Server 2014, the add-in will also work for SQL Server 2012 instances of MDS. Excel/Office requirements remain the same – if you’re using the MDS add-in today, this update will continue to work.
