The SQL Server 2016 SP1 GDR is now available for download at the Microsoft Download Center and Microsoft Update Catalog sites. This package only includes security fixes from SQL Server 2016 SP1 through this release, which includes a new security fix for SQL Server Engine.
Starting with SQL Server 2017, we are adopting a new modern servicing model. Please refer to our blog for more details on Modern Servicing Model for SQL Server.
