Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure portal for Log Analytics – 12/04 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 12/04, 08:55 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 12/04, 07:45 UTC and that during the 1 hours 10 minutes that it took to resolve the issue 20% of customers in North Europe region experienced data access issue in the azure portal and query failure..
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to an issue with one of our backend service.
  • Incident Timeline: 1 Hours & 10 minutes - 12/04, 07:45 UTC through 12/04, 08:55 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Azure Log Analytics as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues within Log Analytics in North Europe Region and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience data access issue in the azure portal and query failures through API.
