Experiencing Data Access issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 11/05 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 11/5, 15:05 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 11/05, 13:05 UTC and that during the 2 hours that it took to resolve the issue some customers may have experienced issues with missed, delayed or wrongly fired Log Search alerts and experienced difficulties accessing data for resources hosted in West US 2.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to one of our dependent backend services.
  • Incident Timeline: 2 Hours - 11/05, 13:05 UTC through 11/05, 15:05 UTC
We understand that customers rely on Application Insights and Log Search Alerts as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.

We are aware of issues within Application Insights and Log Search alerts and are actively investigating. Some customers may experience Data access issues or delayed/missed Log Search alerts for resources hosted in West US2 region.
